When Is a Good Time for Me To Buy?

The right time to buy depends on your specific and personal situation.

I’ve often been asked, “When is a good time to buy a home?” The answer is that it depends.

Around the holidays is often a good time to buy because the available homes for sale are being sold by sellers who are very serious about selling. However, the right time still boils down to your personal situation. Do you have everything in line, and have you spoken to a lender? Do you have the down payment? If you're a first-time homebuyer, are you at the end of your rental agreement? Are you ready to make a move in today's economic environment?

Experts predict that interest rates will moderate or even decrease a little bit more in the first quarter of 2023. I’m not telling anyone to wait for prices to come down because inventory is down significantly. Plus, we know that when inventory is down and there are still a lot of buyers in the market, values won’t change much.

You should speak with a lender and get the advice of a professional real estate agent. I’d love to help you. Reach out to me by phone or email—I’m here to answer any questions you might have.
