We are fully in the spring selling season for 2022, and I am getting a very interesting question from most of our sellers. “How do I sell my current home without finding a new home?” Our clients’ No. 1 concern used to be getting top dollar, but that isn’t difficult in a seller’s market like this. Their main concern has become selling without having another house lined up.

We have a new addendum form that goes along with our clients’ purchase agreements called the seller's acquisition option. This is a one-page legal document that you accept for the home you're selling. It gives you a certain number of days to find suitable housing.

If they don't find suitable housing or don't waive that condition, they can terminate the purchase agreement. It's an innovative approach we've started using in the last few weeks.
